Intelligent Environments reference app on GitHub
Hi everyone,
To make your final weekend of building an intelligent city app a little easier, the GE team just released an Intelligent Environments reference app in AngularJS on GitHub.
The reference app handles code for UAA & setting up dependencies, and does a basic call to each of the Intelligent Environments APIs. Check it out at https://github.com/CurrentByGE/ie-angular-ref-app.
Can’t wait to see your submissions on Tuesday!

Code samples for Traffic Planning API
We thought you might want to check out GE Digital evangelist Jayson DeLancey’s Python code samples for the Predix Traffic Planning API. The Traffic Planning API uses smart streetlights to monitor all vehicles with lane, direction, and speed data points. The LEDs provided by GE are equipped with sensors and cameras so you can build apps that route drivers and detect road debris, accidents, and other traffic conditions.
Jayson walks you through the code —learn how to call data from an “asset” (streetlight)—and talks about the winning project from the IoT for Cities Hackathon.

Making a great submission video
We know you’re focused on building your data-rich urban innovation app, but don't forget about your submission video. It's often the first (and sometimes only!) thing that judges and voters review.
A good video tells the story behind your submission, providing a clear and concise explanation of what your app is and does. Here are some tips and a list of screencasting tools:
- Establish your elevator pitch. In the first few seconds of your video, explain why your app (or app idea) is awesome. You can get into the details of how it works later on in the video,…
